Country Lads is a 1941 New Zealand short film. It went on to screen in New Zealand cinemas as the first production released by the newly born National Film Unit. It features footage of troops parading through central Wellington and their departure for Europe and North Africa during World War II. Adolf Hitler had called the Kiwi soldiers "poor deluded country lads"; but here the description is turned into a compliment.
