Functions: Automatic categoriation. I already use BotMultichill for that, but i have to do a query, transfer that to another machine, run the script. This bot is going to run directly from the toolserver.

Algorithm could be significantly improved before applying it on very big scale. (Same for commonsense: each improvement saves hours of work per day). --Foroa (talk) 11:03, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Could you please describe algorithm? I looked on several images and I'm not happy with categorization: for example Image:Callionima nomius sjh.JPG: bot should add species category instead family.

Also sometimes images from species galleries added to genus or family category. So will be good idea to move them to species category.

Please see User:Multichill/Categories for the whole process. In the case of Image:Callionima nomius sjh.JPG the image is placed in Category:Sphingidae because Category:Callionima nomius doesnt exist. I have another toy to sort out categories once you've created subcategories like Category:Callionima nomius. Multichill (talk) 16:20, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

The first step is to get images from {{Uncategorized}} to a category. Putting these images in a family is quite alright compared to not being in a category at all. I understand these categories can get crowded so i supply people with a tool to automaticly clean up these categories once they get too crowded. Creating those categories in advance is a possibility, but those categories would probably wind up getting deleted before my bot has a chance to add any images to the right category. Also this makes the process not fully automatic which is needed to cope with the sheer amount of images (about 5000 uncategorized images a day). Multichill (talk) 20:28, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I think will be good idea to create list of missing categories (definitely bot job), invite other users to create necessary ones (give week, for example) and then proceed with image categorization. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
