Shortcuts: COM:AN/B • COM:AN/P • COM:RFPP

This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.


Report disputes with users that require administrator assistance. Further steps are listed at resolve disputes.


Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

I ask you to remove the protection from the file early, as this makes it impossible to apply for the removal of an image that is not in the specified source and that violates copyright. A better replacement has already been uploaded under a free license and can be used in all language sections of Wikipedia to illustrate the facts stated in the article. And naturally, this was a position opposite to my position, even despite the obvious violations, which for some reason no one wants to see. Semi-protection request for template

Hi, please could someone semi-protect Template:Portal box and Template:Portal box/styles.css. I'm using them in a rewrite of Commons:Community portal to make it more accessible and mobile-friendly (viewable at Commons:Community portal/sandbox), and since the portal is semi-protected the templates should be too. the wub "?!" 14:32, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It may seen unfair to use a final warning from 8 years ago as a reason to block, but if its about an image of the same exact person as most of the other ones, and tahis uploader was able to figure out how to use the VRT system at least once (File:Fabio Marra 2.jpg), that's pretty bad Mach61 (talk) 19:34, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done Your point is well taken, but I think 8 years is too long. I've issued another final warning and deleted the new file File:Fabiomarra.jpg, as it is very likely a copyright violation. Carrozzone, feel free to request undeletion via COM:VRT. @Alisu faz o L: In one of your messages on your talk page, you confirm that you uploaded someone else's image and didn't know the exact license but put CC 3.0 license. This amounts to copyright violation. You are free to upload your own work that is under our scope, and if you are uploading someone else's work, you would need to faciliate COM:VRT permissions. This means that the author/original copyrights holder needs to release the image under a compatible free license.
